Larne F.C.

Current Larne F.C. Crest Larne FC was formed in 1889 and plays in the Daily Mirror Irish League.

The town of Larne is situated on the north-east coast of Northern Ireland and enjoys a distinguished history as one of the country's premier ports.

The club crest, therefore, features a sailing ship, along with a football which marks the sport played by the club.

Completing the crest (which is displayed in the club colours of red and white) is the full club name. Interestingly, a close inspection reveals that the "R" in "Larne" is reversed!

Larne F.C. Crest as appears on team shirts The crest was designed and first used by Larne FC in 1971, to mark the club joining the senior Irish League. It is that initial design which is still in use today. On the team shirts, the crest is displayed using additional colours, as seen to the left.

Thanks to Michael Ellison, Webmaster at Larne FC, for the above crest and information.
