Girvan F.C.
The quiet town of Girvan has a population of around 8,000 and is situated on the South Ayrshire Coast, overlooking the Irish Sea.
The Girvan FC club crest is similar to the Girvan town crest and shows an old sailing ship. This represents the fact that in years gone by, Girvan was a busy port.
The crest (badge) incorporates the club's home colours of blue and black and also displays the club name at the bottom.
When the importance of Girvan harbour diminished, the town developed a prosperous weaving industry. This is marked by a motto on the town crest itself which reads, "Weave Industry with Truth".
Thanks to Ronnie Hutchison, Secretary at Girvan FC, for the above crest and information.
