Randers FC

Randers FC was formed in January 2003 following a merger between the famous Randers Freja club (formed in 1899, European Cup quarter-finalists and Danish Cup winners on three occasions) and five smaller clubs in the region.

The new club's crest / logo was also created in January 2003 and features a blue horse. This image was chosen to represent the club as for around the last 30 years, a large horse statue has dominated the town centre, and become an unofficial symbol for the town of Randers. Indeed, just recently, a further 65 horse sculptures have been placed around the town's streets and parks.

The crest / logo also shows the new club name.

Thanks to Torben Jensen, Webmaster at Randers FC, for the above crest and information.
